Elegant Notre Dame wedding at the Seine riverside

Notre Dame wedding

First look at the Seine riverside

Their Notre Dame wedding was about to start: Tyrus was standing at the Seine riverside. Full of anticipation he was looking around: the imposing Notre Dame cathedral to his left, the facades of the Parisian buildings in front and the Seine river flowing all around Ile Saint-Louis. It was real, he was actually standing here. In the heart of Paris. Waiting for his bride. Ready for their Paris elopement.

At this moment LaTara arrived. She walked down the stairs to reach the Seine riverside. Tyrus was excited, adjusting his suit, playing with his hands – in expectation of their first look. LaTara tapped on Tyrus’ shoulder to make him turn around. Finally he saw his bride: incredibly beautiful – and all happy, all smiles!

Personal wedding vows for Paris elopement ceremony

After their first look the couple wished to start off their Notre Dame wedding with their symbolic wedding ceremony. As their Paris officiant I prepared a slightly religious elopement ceremony for them to bless their union. We included a bible reading – a beautiful passage about the importance of love.

For the couple exchanging their personal vows during their Paris elopement was of great importance. LaTara said: “We want to keep it pretty simple with our vows being the star of the show.” And as their celebrant in Paris I just can agree: Having the chance to start your lives as husband and wife with your personal wedding vows is a powerful. Exchanging words that come right from the bottom of your heart. This strong symbolic sets things in motion.

Notre Dame wedding in Paris with photographer friends

LaTara & Tyrus were blessed to have two friends witnessing their Paris elopement. Actually their friends Terri & Iris did two things in one: They shared this unique moment as friends. And they captured LaTara & Tyrus’ Paris elopement as professional wedding photographers. LaTara was putting it this way: “I bring two of my dear friends along to capture our elopement and adventures around Paris.” What a great chance to have two wedding photographers as friends covering this beautiful Paris elopement!

After the elopement ceremony Terri & Iris moved on to Eiffel Tower and Louvre to take more pictures of the newly weds. By the way bride LaTara is a wedding photographer herself (Elle Danielle). No wonder that she had it all planned down to the details: LaTara’s color concept was a grey marble and rose gold theme. Her dress from White Dresses Nashville & Palazzo Bridal, her Badgley Mishka shoes, the flowers from a local shop in Paris – all fitting beautifully.

As their celebrant in Paris I wish for LaTara & Tyrus: May their marriage always be as the two of them were at the day of their Paris elopement – full of love and dedication, full of energy and creativity, full of beauty and curiosity! And may LaTara and her friends Iris & Terri make many more other couples happy as their wedding photographers!
