As marriage celebrant in Paris I had the immense pleasure to get to know Julie & Chris. The couple wanted to celebrate their vow renewal in Paris on the day of their 18th wedding anniversary. Julie & Chris envisioned an elegant elopement wedding just the two of them.

The perfect fit turned out to be: A Ritz venue booking for their intimate intimate vow renewal ceremony and romantic cocktail dinner celebration. Combined with my Romantic Elopement package including planning and coordination of their team of wedding vendors. Therefore allowing Julie & Chris to enjoy a stress free experience, just focusing on each other and their celebration of love.
Their Paris elopement started with Julie’s beauty session at their hotel. The stylist created the bridal hair & makeup that the bride envisioned and helped her getting dressed. As their Paris wedding officiant I then picked them up together with the chauffeur of their French classic car to go to the first photo shoot location.

Their Ritz Paris elopement package included a 3 hour photo session: We divided the photo shoot into 1,5 hours outdoors in Paris, and 1,5 hours at the Ritz Paris wedding venue. As it was late afternoon and Paris is very busy at this time of the day, we chose Palais Royal as photoshoot location to avoid crowds as much as possible. We often had to wait for people to pass to take pictures, so that the result looked like Julie & Chris had Paris all to themselves.
After Palais Royal we drove to legendary Place Vendôme, where the Ritz is located as well, to shoot more couple photos including the French vintage car into the pictures.

Afterwards the outdoor part of the Paris photo session was concluded, and we went ahead with the indoor part of Julie & Chris’s Ritz Paris elopement package. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and we can usually use the beautiful red stair case, the elegant blue lobby and even the famous garden (grand jardin) – given that their are no other events planned there.

And finally it was time to discover the historic salon, called Salon Psychée, that was beautifully decorated for the couple’s vow renewal ceremony and their cocktail dinner reception. When Julie & Chris walked into the room, they couldn’t believe their eyes!

For their marriage vow renewal ceremony we also had a violinist present. Usually the violinist plays a song before the ceremony starts, to allow the couple to settle in and arrive in the moment. and then another song or two in the end.
Julie & Chris asked me to create a romantic and personal wedding vow ceremony for them. As their Paris elopement celebrant I sent them pretty detailed ceremony questionnaires, in order to make the ceremony as unique and meaningful as possible, including their beautiful love story to honor the path they have already been walking together for 18 years. The couple also chose two wedding reading that really spoke to them. They did not want an overly religious ceremony, but just a religious touch. That’s why I chose to open the ceremony with a prayer and also incorporate a scripture reading for them. Julie & Chris decided to repeat standard vows after me, and exchange their wedding rings once more.
After I pronounced them married again as their marriage officiant and they re-sealed their union with a kiss, the violinist started playing the second song that they chose for their first dance. It was such an incredibly romantic and sweet moment, when Julie & Chris danced closely entwined to the tune of the violin full of happiness to have each other. A third song of the violinist accompanied the signature of their symbolic vow renewal certificate and the champagne toast and appetizers that the Ritz had prepared for them.
Now it was already time to start the last part of the Ritz Paris elopement package: the romantic five course candle light dinner. Julie & Chris sat down at the beautifully decorated table and we took a few last photos of them, before letting them enjoy their dinner reception just the two of them. It was hard for all of us to say goodbye. After planning their Ritz Paris elopement package and sharing their vow renewal day full of joy and all the feelings together, we felt like friends.
